Online check in

Information on how to check-in, choose your seats and complete your API form

Online check-in

You should always check in online before you go to the airport and not at the airport as this will incur an unnecessary cost.

For passengers wishing to pre-purchase their preferred seat check in opens 30 days before departure. For passengers preferring not to pre-purchase their seat check-in opens 24 hours before departure. Online check-in closes 3 hours before departure, after this time you must check-in at the airport and pay the relevant fees.

You can download your boarding pass to your Smartphone or print it out.

You will need to fill in all the Advanced Passenger Information (API). Make sure that all the information on your flight match the passport details and visa details. If your details have changed in any way or are incorrect you will need to change them, see Changing my Details for more information. If you arrive at the airport with details that do not match you could be refused boarding.

A PDF scan or photo of your boarding pass on a mobile device can not be scanned by airport security.

Advanced Passenger Information (API)

Advance Passenger Information (API) are additional details that are required by local authorities on international flights, for Border and Customs agencies before you travel. We need to collect this information before you can check in.

You will need to provide us with the following information:

  • Full Name (as it appears on your passport)
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender 
  • Nationality
  • Passport Number
  • Passport Details (Date and place of issue and expiry date)
  • Visa Number

Additionally you may be required in some destinations (where boarding/landing cards are no longer collected on the airplane) to provide details such as where you are staying and contact details during your stay.

Please make sure that your API details match your passport details. If your API information and your documents do not match you may not be able to travel.

If you booked directly on flypop.com you can change API or contact details before you check-in by going to Manage my booking, log in to your account and click on ‘Edit’ next to the passenger name you want to update. 

If you have already checked in, you can still make changes but remember to re-print or re-download your boarding card. All changes must be made before check-in for your flight closes.

It is always best to do this online before arriving at the airport. If you need to make changes at the check-In desk at you will be charged an administration fee.

Choosing a seat

If you have not chosen a seat then you will be randomly allocated a seat when you Check In .If you are travelling with other passengers on the same Booking there is no guarantee that it will be possible for you to sit together.

If you wish to reserve a seat you can do so any time for one, any or all passengers on a Booking.

You can do this at the time you make your booking or at any time up to the opening of Check In at the airport 3 hours before the flight leaves by logging into Manage My Account.

There are several options for seating:

Standard Seat Want to be one of the first off the airplane? Want a window seat or aisle seat? The choice is yours.

Extra Leg Room Seat There are a limited number of extra leg room seats on flypop flights for those who want them.

Priority Seat 38’’ leg room, extra wide and includes priority boarding.

Restricted Seats For safety reasons some seats, such as those by the emergency exits, are restricted. Airline Regulations require that in the case of an emergency passengers in these seats may have to assist the Crew evacuate the airplane. For this reason these seats are not available for certain passengers ,for example those with reduced mobility, children under 16 or expectant mothers.
