COVID-19 booking policy

Information about restrictions, guidelines on travel and what to do if your journey is affected.

We understand how difficult it is to make long term plans during the pandemic. The situation in any country can change very quickly as we have all seen in India.

The Government issues regular travel advice on the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office website (FCDO), this information is all subject to change. This may include the requirement for passengers arriving from certain destinations to quarantine themselves for a period of time and extra documentation such as test certificates and vaccination certificates. If this requirement has an impact on your travel plans and you no longer wish to travel, flypop will ensure that your booking is safe.

In the event of you having to cancel or postpone your travel plans or a flight is cancelled by flypop, you will have the following options:

  • A full refund of the full ticket price and all extras that you have added. No quibbles.
  • Postponement of your flight to a later date safeguarding not only your ticket price but all the extras you have paid for. If you had already checked in you will have to check in again and download a new boarding pass for the new flight.
  • A voucher to the full value of your ticket plus a 10% bonus valid for a whole year from the date of cancellation of your flight. We offer the 10% bonus as there may be a difference in the price of your new ticket and the one you originally purchased
  • A free one time name change. This will allow you to ‘gift’ your ticket to someone else.

Please note that Covid restrictions introduced by Government agencies constitute an ‘extraordinary’ measure and you will not be entitled to compensation under EC261/2004.
